Sunday, June 17th, sees the first ever trials day for the newly announced Walton Casuals JFC Ladies Senior team and Reserve side. The teams will kick-off later this year when their respective Leagues commence competition.
The Girls section of the Casuals has grown incredibly, and the Club are thrilled to be able now to field teams from U6 to U16…with the coming Ladies Teams finally completing the pathway from Junior to Senior football.
It has been a long held dream of Chairman, Frank Scannella and General Secretary, Jo Scannella to have a Senior Ladies team at Casuals to be the capping stone of a thriving Female football section. Thanks to the newly crowned Head and Assistant Head of Ladies Senior Football, Chris Barker and Duncan Saunders, that dream has now materialised into reality.
The gentlemen in question have worked tirelessly these past months – with a professional, dedicated team – to put together a strategy and a sustainable programme that will ensure Ladies Football can go from strength to strength at the Sports Hub. With the long term goal, considering our superb facilities and first-rate management and coaching team, to challenge the established order in the game.
The trial is open to ALL Ladies over the age of 16 and will take place on Sunday the 17th June and Sunday the 1st July between 11am and 1pm.
